Dismantle the Sun (2025)
In 2023, I took a car around Cornwall with nothing but my camera bag, my drone and some clothes, capturing the natural world, the mundane and the ordinary. It was a reflective and transitional period for me, and the work itself became an act of exploration - both of myself and the world around me.
'Dismantle the Sun' is a short, visual meditation, exploring elements of the natural world, the inevitability of decay, but also rebirth. It’s a non-narrative piece, created to inspire reflection and contemplation in the viewer.
I consider the project a learning curve, as an exercise and practice run for something bigger to come.
Music composed by my sister, Alessia Marcovecchio.
